Welcome

A hearty welcome to all who are visiting (or re-visiting) this Site (whether you have a specific question about the Bible or are just generally wanting to know more about it)! This Site is intended mainly to help those who are already believers in the Lord Jesus Christ and in God’s inerrant Word (the Bible).
If, however, you have not yet come to trust solely in Jesus and in His shed blood for salvation from sin, hopefully you are at least somewhat interested in and concerned about your destiny (life after death). Here’s a brief outline of "the gospel" (God’s good news of His amazing grace for all who trust in Jesus). Biblically, it’s what you vitally need. I’ve titled it:
"How to be Eternally Free from Sin"
I. Man’s problem = SIN
A. The presence of sin
1. Sin by ancestry – All of us were born with a sinful human nature. (from Adam – Psalm 51:5; Romans 5:12).
2. Sin by activity – We’ve all sinned in our lives – in thoughts, words, and deeds. (Romans 3:10-12, 23; 1 John 1:10)
B. The product of sin – Humans are under God’s wrath and face God's future judgment and eternal punishment. (John 3:36; Romans 5:9; 6:23)
C. The power of sin – Human beings are helpless to please God or to earn salvation from sin. (Ephesians 2:1-3,12; Titus 3:5; Hebrews 11:6)
II. God’s provision (note 5 key 5-letter words highlighted below)
A. The accomplishment – Jesus, by the Virgin Birth, took on sinless humanity and shed His blood, paying the price for all sins
of those who will trust in Him. He rose from the dead, was seen by hundreds, and went to heaven as the only Mediator between God and
humans. (Romans 5:8; 1 Corinthians 15:1-9; 1 Timothy 2:5)
B. The application – Salvation is totally undeserved. God, by His mercy and grace, freely pardons anyone who trusts in Christ alone for salvation. (Acts 16:31; Romans 3:24; 8:1)
C. The acceptance – Humans need to (and can) do nothing to even partially merit salvation. We must just TRUST what the Bible says about Jesus – who He is and what He did to provide salvation – not TRY to earn salvation. God requires only faith; a good life, good deeds, charity, or church won’t help. Simply call on God to save you – now! (Ephesians 2:8-10; Romans 10:9-10,13)
The Foundation and Perspective of This Website
Only God knows everything, since He alone is omniscient. In His Word (in the 66 books of the Bible) He has given us humans what He has
determined we need to know. Believers have searched the Scriptures for about 2000 years to learn as much as we can of God’s truth for us.
Thankfully, some have found some key truths; many have found much truth. No one, though, has “the corner” on all of God’s revealed truth.
Regrettably, some students (and scholars) have come up with erroneous conclusions and views. Disagreements abound on many Bible passages (texts) and many Bible doctrines (topics). So, the search for God’s truth goes on, and this website will join in that endeavor and seek to present
different interpretations that Bible students have suggested – and then indicate what seems to be contextually and logically the best (the
correct) way to view various passages and doctrines.
Thus, by God’s grace and power, this website will hopefully help scholars, authors, pastor-teachers, evangelists, missionaries, and
everyone else who personally trusts in the Lord Jesus for salvation and wants to know the Bible better. You’re encouraged to suggest
visiting this site to members of your family and church, your church leaders, your friends, and anyone else interested in spiritual and
biblical matters.
On this site we are dedicated to discerning & then declaring what the Bible actually says – in individual passages (textual studies) and as a
whole (topical studies). Many years have gone into the studies included here. Yet, two millennia after Paul wrote it, it is still true that
“we know in part” (1Corinthians 13:9). So updates will be made from time to time – as well as additional texts and topics added.
Let us know what you would like to know or what you would like to share -- either by using the form on the website or emailing us (at bibletruth4u@reagan.com). You are invited to make comments and/or ask questions about anything on this site – or something you would like to know better that we have not yet included here.
The Bible includes all the truth God decided humans – and especially His chosen peoples (Israel and the Church) – need to live lives here on earth that are pleasing to Him.
Many things come to mind that He COULD have revealed – but didn’t.
Thinking, for instance, of time periods.
What you will NOT find on this website:
1. How long elapsed between God's creation of Eve from Adam’s rib and Adam and Eve’s first kiss
2. More importantly perhaps, how much time elapsed between Eve’s creation and Satan’s temptation of her
3. How many worker hours were spent building Noah’s ark
4. The day and date of Jesus’ birth
5. How often are churches supposed to celebrate the Lord’s Supper (weekly, monthly, quarterly)
6. How long will each NT believer be with the Lord after death before he or she is rewarded by the Lord at the Judgment Seat of Christ
7. How long after the Rapture will Antichrist’s 7-year peace covenant start
8. What gap (if any) there will be between the end of the Millennium and the New Heavens and New Earth
What you WILL find on this website (now or ASAP)
1. The age of the earth and of the human race
2. The dating involved in Daniel's prophecy of the 70 Weeks (Dan 9)
3. The time between Jesus’ death and His resurrection – whether literally 3 full days and nights (a Wednesday death) or only a day and a
half (a Friday death)
